Meet Kelly Lawrence
Tiny Needles is proud to sponsor Kelly for his first AIDS Lifecycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. AIDS/LifeCycle is a fully supported, 7-day bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money and awareness in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
AIDS/LifeCycle 2017 will take place June 4 - 10, 2017.
The 545-mile, 7-day bike ride to Los Angeles has been calling to me to participate for many years - but I've kept putting it off. It's a big commitment. You have to have the right bike, take a week's vacation, train for it, get the gear for it, wear Lycra which is really not meant for anyone over 50, and raise $3,000 to go. So why do it?
About the same time my close friend Lenny died in 1995, the Aids Ride came onto my radar. It started as a ride to help fund research. Now, benefitting the SF Aids Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT center, the ride raises millions of dollars for programs that help communities at risk or those living with HIV.
With Trump and his henchman running the show, we know we'll be called on to get involved and give to good causes. If you can join me in supporting the fight against HIV, please donate at www.tofighthiv.org/goto/kelevator
Whether its this cause or another, we all need each other not just to be good, but to DO GOOD.
